Charis is a trio of sisters (Nadia, Kezia and Sonia Baye), born and raised in Ghana. Charis is a Contemporary Gospel group. The siblings have been singing all their lives.

“Started singing with Press on Kids, a children’s group at the ages of 5, 4 and 3. Through our years singing with Press on Kids, we made many appearances on reputable stations like Viasat 1, Citi Fm, Sunny Fm, Multi TV, GTV, TV Africa”.

Charis have graced events such as the 20th anniversary and album launch of the Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Citi Fm’s Christmas Carol service, Touching God’s Heart by Pastor Denzel Agyemang-Prempeh, Tour by Vinesong of “Let Your living waters” fame amongst a host of others. The trio have also featured on 8 albums by Press on Kids. The two oldest members of the group were pioneering members of Nii Okai’s children’s choir during a Standard Chartered Christmas Concert.

“We started writing songs at the age of 5. Our desire to share our gift with the world is the reason we are pursuing ministry. There’s so much brokenness and pain in society and our hope is to bring hope and joy. We believe that part of our purpose is to spread the love of Christ and this is a way of doing that. Music is a powerful force and when you merge that with the love of Jesus, it has the power to change things”.

Charis will be hosting their Album Concert/Launch on 6th July at 4pm in the Jubilee Hall. The launch is featuring gifted artistes, it’s a surprise you do not want to miss. It’s free and open to all. UGMB would definitely keep you updated on a fronts. You can’t miss this concert. Let’s support our own.
