Joel Boyson is known by his stage name Cleck Boyson. He’s aged 19 and he’s currently a student of Crystal Galaxy School of Aviation and Professional Studies where he’s studying Media Law and Broadcast Journalism. He is definitely one of the young talented rising acts doing urban gospel music. Cleck Boysonstarted singing at the age of five (5). Even at that age he used to write and compose lots of songs. He started doing music professionally in the year 2014 and has written and composed about 10 songs now. More songs are definitely in the pipeline.
It’s his mission to draw the youth of today closer to Christ through the modern kind of music. Cleck believes he can convince the youth with his message much more if he strategizes his mission. Cleck Boyson would prefer to use already existing captivating beats to write his songs and preach the message. He believes by so doing the youth would be lost in the music and love it just as they love the secular songs and quickly they would get to know that they can actually enjoy good music and know God through the kind of beats and rhythms they prefer.
He had showcased his musical prowess to the world with outstanding musical performances in places such as Kona bar, Accra City hotel, Bellaroma amongst a host of others. Tertiary Music Awards 2107 saw Cleck Boyson bag nominations in three (3) categories (Best Student Gospel Artiste, Best Student Male Vocalist, Best Student Gospel Song). Cleck Boyson is currently managing himself as he is not signed to any label at the moment.
Cleck Boyson first released his debut single “Lesson” in the year 2015 and then after released another hit song titled “Contender” in the year 2016. His song “Nyame Do Me” continues to make waves as it’s on rotation on Zylofone Fm. He hopes to make strides in the music scene and accomplish his purpose for doing gospel music. He has also promised to release more hit tracks. He released “It’s Over” a few days ago and you’ll definitely love it. Anticipate his debut album “Cleck In Christ” which drops this year.
