Theodore Etse Qwesi Azumah (Qwesi-Tee) and Emmanuel Khofi Ampomah (Fresh Manuel) are the biological names for the popularly known Ghanaian urban gospel artistes TheWord. Qwesi-Tee and Fresh Manuel are also members of the Qedesh Rap Stars Movement.
Qwesi-Tee was born on 22 March, 1992 and lived most of his life in a well known city called Ashaiman before he later relocated to Airport Residential, Accra. Fresh Manuel on the other hand was born on 9 October, 1992. He also lived most of his life at Airport Residential, Accra before relocating to Spintex. Qwesi-Tee went to Somanya Secondary Technical School, whilst Fresh Manuel attended Lincoln Secondary School. They both completed their second education in the same year, 2014.
Their music career started whilst they were in secondary school they however started music professionally when they completed secondary school. Hence, duo TheWordstarted music in 2014. TheWord have released couple of singles that has really thrown the group into the lime light so far as urban gospel and gospel music is concerned. Songs such as My Lord Is Good, Praise Him, My Saviour (Angela cover), Yenko Qedesh (Hustle cover), Preaching Nu feat. Miklez can be credited to the every rising duo. Visuals for “Praise Him” is set to be release soon. You definitely have to anticipate this one. TheWord is currently working on their new project “Jesus Dey Bee” which features one of the best rappers the world has seen, Lil Zig. This piece is set to drop early next year. Yes watch out for this piece in 2019. Pray Without Ceasing featuring Scott Evans would also be dropping late year, 2019.
The Word Music 1633 is the record label of TheWord . You may be wondering why 1633 is added. The 1 in 1633 represents the first book in the New Testament which is Matthew. And the 6 is the chapter and 33 is the verse. Therefore Matthew 6:33 says that, “But seek first the kingdom of God
and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you”. Amen. The main aim of the group is to spread the gospel through spirit-filled and inspiring music to the street and every corner of the world, winning souls, emanating and strengthening the love people have for God. They are also encouraging all Urban Gospel Artistes, churches, organization, and every individual to help nourish individual gifts and to win souls for Christ whose second coming is at hand.
