Who Wins UGMB Artiste of the Month, September?

Another month is here again and it’s time to appreciate our very own artistes. UGMB Artiste of the Month session on UGMB seeks to celebrate Ghanaian urban gospel artistes for their hard work over the course of the month.

Here’s a list of six (6) artistes who exceled in the month of August.

EL Melo: Singer/Rapper EL Melo is a force to reckon with. Pieces such as “Church Girl” and “In A Nutshell” shows you his versatility and seriously he attaches to his craft. His recent song “For Me” featuring Scott Evans remained a consistent feature on the UGMB Charts for the month of September.

Davies Gospel: Davies Gospel is doing terrific afro gospel music. The Ghana based Nigerian artiste is a phenomenon. Listen to his recent piece “If” would leave you in a state of joy. The song since it’s release has left quiet an impression on listeners.

Neqta: When you hear “BoiNeqta” you know some serious vocals would shake you up. “Nobody” has been on the lips of many since it’s release this year. His features on songs such as “Osheyy” and “My Good” have proved vital is the success of the song. Need I say more? Neqta is definitely on the rise and it’s no surprise his up for artiste of the month.

TheWord: Duo, TheWord are gradually rising through the ranks and making a name for themselves. The Gospel Artiste of the Year at this year’s Ashaiman Music Awards have steadily made impact during the course of the year. Their song “Preaching Nu” featuring Miklez remains evergreen. It consistently pops up on the UGMB Charts.

Absteiner: Rap sensation Absteiner has definitely created created a niche for himself when it comes to rap music. Songs such as “Dance 4 You” and “My Good” is a testament to that fact. His unique flow and heavy toned voice would definitely leave an impression on you.

Captain Phronesis: It’s no surprise the Captain is up for artiste of the month. The song “Arise and Shine” is a master piece you ought to listen if you haven’t. Captain Phronesis’s rap style and passion is just on point. His new piece titled “Wake Up Call” is already topping the UGMB Charts since it’s release.
